David
Cronenberg - The rise of a great
director
Monday Feb 2, 2009
David
Cronenberg's movies are an acquired
taste. Sure, lucid visions of
typewriters turning into scarab
beetles and people absorbing pistols
into their stomachs might not be
everybody's taste, but it these
imaginative ideas that have
developed David Cronenberg into the
director he is today. Although he
has always made unique and
interesting films, its taken him
quite some time to find the right
medium that appeals to the widest of
markets. A history of violence was
one of these examples. My dad
enjoyed that immensely. but he
hated Naked Lunch (If you catch what
I'm driving at). Naked Lunch was a
great movie but only appealed to the
smallest of markets. Most mainstream
thinkers would consider the majority
of Cronenberg films to be weird.
True there are some pretty weird
moments but if you watch and follow
you will find that his movies really
do express his imagination as a
writer. And to be honest I respect
the fact that he has always made the
movies that he wanted to make and
didn't fold to the green eyed
monster of Hollywood money.

Youtube
is our friend - New videos
Sunday
Feb 1, 2009
The invention
of youtube has enabled any moron
with a handy cam to direct and
publish their very own awful videos.
The idea behind youtube started out
as a kind of open network TV station
where you could banter on about
whatever the hell you felt like. But
inevitably the average internet scum
bad will come along and use it for
copyright infringement purposes.
Luckily for youtube this is a
wonderful formula to success, Free
video clips is one of the most
popular pass times on the internet
and has contributed to youtube's
multi million dollar bank ballance.
Its brilliant really, make money
online by getting othe rpeople to
break the law for you. Could youtube
be considered as a modern day online
Al Capone? Anyhow TVterrorist has
decided to take advantage of this
situation and post its own videos. I
will be posting videos every few
days. So keep an eye on this space.
Also Brand new
site design to come in the next few
days. Looking very cool!

TVterrorist top 25 Cult classics - The
best of the best
Wednesday 28 Jan, 2009
Evidently I
spend a lot of time watching movies.
Movies have come and movies have
gone. But what movies stand out in
my mind as Cult Classics? I guess
there will always be the favorites
that people have. But for me, its
really boiled down to a few select
classics that I feel are the most
influential movies ever made. Well,
as far as I'm concerned anyway. Here
they are in no particular order.

GI Joe Movie - Official
pic's and some unofficial Screen shots &
Cast.
Friday Jan 23, 2009

Well it looks
like the G.I. Joe movie is
defiantly on the way. With
the GI Joe Movie being
heavily anticipated geeks
all over the world are
waiting with baited breath
as too what the movie is
going to be like. G.I. Joe
movie merchandising is
obviously big business with
the original GI Joe toy
range being one of the
biggest selling kids
products in history. I mean
come on! If your over the
age of 25 the chances are
you played with GI Joes as a
kid. I had big box full! I
had more fun with GI Joes
than I had with Lego.
Although there has been a
lot of moaning about the
costumes, Im sure we wont be
disappointed at the end of
the day. I mean they are
putting $170 000 000 into
it! That could buy a few GI
Joe collectors items. The GI
Joe movie is set for general
release on the 7th of August
2009. Enjoy these exclusive
images of the up and coming
G.I. Joe movie.

Celebrity IQ - Who is the Dumbest?
who is smarter than they look?
Wednesday 21 jan, 2009
We all know
what those IQ test ads looks like.
If you don't, look to the right of
this text, the chances that
you'll see one is pretty high. IQ
test's online is obviously big
business, otherwise they just
wouldn't spend this much money
advertising it. I found it
interesting how these ads often
display a Celebrity IQ and poses the
question "Are you smarter than this
guy?". This way you get to
feel superior by being smarter than
lets say, Bill Clinton. But then
again
Bill Clinton
has an IQ of 110
witch is apparently not that
amazing. Celebrity IQ's are very
interesting indeed. Swedish muscle
dude
Dolph Lundgren
apparently
has a Celebrity IQ of 160! Jeebuz!
He's a fricken genius! He-Man does
not look like a very smart guy. And
all this time he's been hiding a
powerhouse under that
prince Valliant
pudding bob. By the power
of grey matter!!!! I have the POWER!
To do what? Solve complex math's
equations? What amazed me even more
was the fact that

Honey,
I Shrunk the kids - Whatever happened to
Rick Moranis
Saturday Jan 17, 2009
What
ever happened to Rick Moranis? He
was one of the funniest comedians to
have ever graced the the cover of a
VHS video tape. The nerdy wimp
stereotype was personified by his
1989 film, Honey I shrunk the kids,
where Moranis plays a pointdexter
inverter that accidentally shrinks
his kids. Honey I shrunk
the kids was one of the most
successful comedies of 89 and went
on the spawn 3 dismal sequels. Honey
I blew up the kid, honey I shrunk
the audience and Honey, we shrunk
ourselves. These TV spin offs where
really lame and didn't go any
farther than the bottom shelf of the
kids section in the video store. So
what happened to Rick Moranis after
Honey I shrunk the kids? Why did he
disappear out of site. We all
remember him from Ghostbusters and
how brilliant he was in Spaceballs
as the evil Schwartz nerd dark
helmet. Space balls was one of
the funniest films ever made in my
opinion and really set Moranis up
for the Honey I shrunk the kids
explosion.

Some of the most
memorable movie villains of all time
Wednesday 14
Jan, 2009
Today the TVterrorist is rounding up
all the best movie villains of
modern cinema. These villains
range from Ming the Merciless to the
Sheriff of Nottingham. Being a movie
villain cant be
easy, there is a
lot of
competition.
Especially with
Heath Ledgers
recent role as
the Joker. It
seems that
actors will have
to continue out
doing each other
to be recognized
as one of
the greatest movie villains of all
time. It will be interesting
to see what
Johnny Depp
is going to do
with his part as
the Riddler in
the new batman
movie.

The Wrestler - Mickey
Rourke's Vincent Vega?
F riday
9 January, 2009
Every now and then, a director
(usually a relatively unknown
one) will come along, take some
washed up, has been actor and
cast them in the role of their
lives. . As Quentin Tarantino
did for John Travolta,
Darren
Aronofsky has done for
Mickey
Rourke. And turn them into
overnight superstars once
again.
Rourke's portrayal of a
washed up steroid addicted
professional
wrestler is so well
done that it asks the question, is
her acting? The story revolves
around the life of aging pro
wrestler Randy "The Ram"
Robinson. Who is trying
desperately to regain what in
life he has lost over the years
of being obsessed with the
wring. The life of
Randy "The Ram" Robinson closely
replicates that of Mickey Rourke
which is probably the reason why
he was cast in the role in the
first place.
The Wrestler in a
phenomenal film and really
displays the obvious talents of
both
Mickey Rourke and
Darren
Aronofsky. T

Insane Movie
Promotions.
Wednesday 7 January, 2009
Its
amazing to see what lengths
promoters will go to to get
the message out there.
Creative advertising is
becoming more competitive
everyday with advertising
hotshots constantly striving
to "out-pitch" the next guy.
In which board room meeting
did they decide to release
Finding Nemo sushi? That
must have been
an interesting
fly on the wall
experience.
In this dog eat
dog world of
who's the latest
flavor some
truly
imaginative
things emerge.
These images
portray the
amazing lengths
that ad guys
have to go to.

Crazy Japanese
Commercials
Monday 5
January, 2009
Below is a collection
of Japanese and Korean
commercials.
I find it
amazing how the
advertising
demographics
could point in
this kind of
direction. Its
clear that these
commercials are
made by seasoned
professionals.
Who certainly
wouldn't spend
this kind of
money if this
form of
advertising
didn't work. The
Japanese public
seem to enjoy
cutesy, child
like figures. It
seems to ask the
question that
perhaps the
Japanese public
are pushed so
hard at school
that they spend
the rest of
their lives
trying to
re-live their
childhood. Is
this a
reasonable
observation?
Think about all
the adult
cartoons and the
huge Plastic
Figurine market,
very rarely the
kind of thing
you would show

The Greatest
Simpson's Quotes
ever.
Friday January
2, 2009

The Simpson's say the darndest
things. With 428 episodes available
I'm sure they could write a pretty
hefty book full of the greatest
Simpson's quotes of all time. Here
are some of the best that I have
been able to find. Enjoy! Its
hilarious
Homer: Son, when you participate
in sporting events, it’s not whether
you win or lose: it’s how drunk you
get
Comic Book Guy: Oh, loneliness
and cheeseburgers are a dangerous
mix.
Homer: You don’t like your job,
you don’t strike. You go in every
day and do it really half-assed.
That’s the American way.
Milhouse: Look out, Itchy! He’s
Irish!

Thundercats the movie? -
Brad Pitt
Ho! - And movies they haven't made
yet.
Wednesday December 31, 2008
I
couldn't believe it when I saw
it, its just so well done! This
movie trailer below shows the Hard
work of youtube prodigy
WormyT.
Apparently the
Thundercats movie
trailer took
WormyT a year and a
half to complete. What I found even
more interesting was the fact that
there are people out there who
actually think that this is real.
This clip apparently even influenced
some movie news sites to post
a"Thundercats movie is on the way"
news bulletin. It boggles my mind as
to how stupid some people are. This
work of genius is below if you
haven't seen it yet.

"Never Go Full retard" - A Cinema
History -
Tropic Thunder
Monday December 29, 2008

If
you've seen
Tropic Thunder
you will be familiar with the "Never
go
full retard " scene.
Where
Ben Stiller and
Robert Downey Junior are walking
through the jungle having a
conversation about
Ben Stiller's failure in his
latest film, Simple Jack. A heart
warming tale about a mentally
challenged man who's "got a good
brain".
Ben Stiller plays the part of an
actor (Tugg Speedman) who is trying
to pull himself back to the top of
Hollywood's A list after a dismal
performance as a retarded man in a recent
flop. This performance was intended
to win the
Oscar but only got Speedman a
Raspberry award. Anyhow! The "No
Body goes full retard" scene is
below if anyone hasn't seen it.
Well
I though that this scene asked a
very interesting question about the
history of the mentally challenged in the movies,
and how many of them won
Oscars. Is this a proven formula
for actors to go by to receive the
ultimate accolade in the world of
cinema? Become a retard = receive an
Oscar?
But how
many of them go Full retard, and how
many only go Half retard? According to Robert Downey Junior you
can only get it if you go Half
retard. It will be very
interesting to see if this formula
works. Here is an in depth look at
retards, a cinematic history!
