Avatar Trailer – James Cameron does it right!
Dragonball Evolution review
Sure its a kids film. And sure, its on a subject that couldn’t possibly be made into movie with any lasting value. And sure its a load of crap. But its kinda cool in a way. I watched it on the plane after 9 hours of chronic leg cramps and considering the mood I was in I actually enjoyed it in a strange kind of way. The characters are pretty empty, the effects are cheezy at times and the acting is horrendous all the time. But for some reason I enjoyed watching it, very imaginative script. You would have to be very imaginative to get any kind of passable story line out of a real life dragonball movie. I mean WTF!! Japanese cartoons are way to Read the rest of this entry »
Tron Legacy – HD Trailer
Wow! This looks amazing! Tron Legacy is a sequel to the original Tron, made in 1982 and remains one of the first mainstream CGI films around. It starred Jeff Bridges and is well worth a watch if you haven’t seen it. The sequel Tron Legacy looks amazing! It blew the back of my head out! I love the whole look of it and the new cybercycles are awesome. Its also quite cool to see that Jeff Bridges is in this in more that one way. Seems a little violent for Disney though! ? ? Smash that fucker’s skull in with your designer Frisbee! Dont know if Walt would approve.

Bionic Commando Xbox 360 review
Hell yeah! Grab your retractable robotic grappling arm and a couple of gats and your ready to go. Bionic Commando is basically a rethink of the classic 80’s which was conveniently also named Bionic Commando. It was the shit! I remember spending quite a few hours banging away at my NES trying to clock that bastard of a game. Difficult was an understatement! But it was great! This Capcom release is quite different from its 80’s ancestor, for the first thing its 3rd person, (Kind of like Tombraider) rather than its classic platformer brother. Capcom did remake a Read the rest of this entry »
Thundercat movie Concept Art unearthed!
Its seems that they are going to be making a thundercats movie after all. The Fanboy clip by wormyT was great but this proves to be the real thing. Jerry O’Flaherty, the guy behind gears of war is set to direct this CGI version of the classic 80’s TV series. Paul Sopocy wrote the script, it follows Lion-O’s origin, from young cub to his ascension as Lord of the Thundercats. Movieline has some how come across some of O’Flaherty original concept art for the film. Enjoy
Tarantino’s War and Peace! Inglorious Basterds
Well it seems that Quenton Tarantino has done it again! The new movie looks like the best thing since sliced bread! Really! Im as excited as all hell! I cant wait to see this movie. It looks like an arty version of The Eagle Has Landed . Inglorious Basterds stars Brad Pitt? Among some of the cast is Office temp B.J. Novak who is really quite a cool actor if you ask me. I digged him in the office and am glad to see that he is breaking through into the big budget holywood scene in a better way than Rainn Wilson who to be honest sucked big time in Transformers 2. But then again Transformers 2 was a huge load of crap! Worse than Pearl Harbor if you ask me. Is Michael Bay completely in able to direct dialogue? What the fuck was all that shit with the dorm room and the Sams mom getting stoned? WTF!!!!!!!! It sucked so bad ! I hated it! Anyway enough of my bantering, watch the trailer for inglorious Basterds below. Read the rest of this entry »
Greatest Simpsons quotes ever!
The Simpson’s say the darndest things. With 428 episodes available I’m sure they could write a pretty hefty book full of the greatest Simpson’s quotes of all time. Here are some of the best that I have been able to find. Enjoy! Its hilarious
Homer: Son, when you participate in sporting events, it’s not whether you win or lose: it’s how drunk you get
Comic Book Guy: Oh, loneliness and cheeseburgers are a dangerous mix.
Homer: You don’t like your job, you don’t strike. You go in every day and do it really half-assed. That’s the American way.
New Alien movie – A Ridley Scott Prequel!
Oh yeah! Man! I almost fell off my wooden crate when I heard this news. I cant believe that after all the crap that has been released around the Alien franchise, Ridley Scott would come along and do another alien film. A proper alien film? Well Shit! Lets hope so. But with Scott in the directors seat, its bound to be a fantastic addition to the first 2 alien films, which in my opinion are the only good examples of the series. It was just a huge shame that the CGI and alien character development in Alien 3 was crap because it was really well directed, David Finch is no Aaron Seltzer! Alien Resurrection had Read the rest of this entry »
David Cronenberg – The rise of a great director
HTML clipboardDavid Cronenberg’s movies are an acquired taste. Sure, lucid visions of typewriters turning into scarab beetles and people absorbing pistols into their stomachs might not be everybody’s taste, but it these imaginative ideas that have developed David Cronenberg into the director he is today. Although he has always made unique and interesting films, its taken him quite some time to find the right medium that appeals to the widest of markets. A history of violence was one of these examples. My dad enjoyed that immensely. but he hated Naked Lunch (If you catch what I’m driving at). Naked Lunch was a great movie but only appealed to the smallest of markets. Most mainstream thinkers would consider the majority of Cronenberg films to be weird. True there are some pretty weird moments but if you watch and follow you will find that his movies really do express his imagination as a writer.
